Our committee is a volunteer team of young professionals working with the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce to manage and run LINKT. We strive to provide a cross-section of event topics to cater for a wide range of professional needs.
LINKT is also associated with Priority One which gives us the opportunity to advocate on attracting and retaining talented young entrepreneurs and executives to Tauranga.
Nico runs TheLoft.legal, a local boutique law firm focussed on helping small businesses with their intellectual property. He helps to protect, defend, enforce and commercialise brands and other intellectual creations. As part of this, Nico is often out and about meeting people. Nico sees being part of Rocket/Linkt as a way to contribute to the community and to connect people in the region, while having a bit of fun in the process. You can otherwise find him enjoying the outdoors that the region has to offer.
During my schooling years I was a Cambridge girl before starting my Uni days in Wellington then moving to Tauranga where I completed my last 3 years through Waikato Uni. I’m currently working as a Chartered Accountant at Young Read Woudberg where I have been since 2012.
Upon starting my career in the “real world” I found Rocket (now LINKT) a fantastic way to connect with people around Tauranga in a relaxed and supportive environment. I have been on the LINKT Committee for around 2 years, and during that time I’ve been to a number of fun and insightful events which has allowed me to learn more about the city we live in, develop new skills (although my bowling game is still pretty weak!) and meet all kinds of great people.
Whether you’re new to Tauranga or have been here for a million years, come along to our next LINKT event and get amongst it!
